How Yoga in Finsbury Park Began ...
Mindful Movements was born on a cold winters day, 2006 in Finsbury Park. Inspired by the idea of Yoga in this lovely park, we grew and built our once a week class into what is now our full time buisness Mindful Movements. Mindful Movements shares our passion of Yoga to people of all walks of live. Living in London, we know the stresses and strains of this fast paced and ambitious city. Gloomy weather and long working hours can take its toll and its so easy to find yourself stuck in a rut. Here is our magic...moving your body can move your mind! It is our mission to reconnect people with the wonders and miracles of the body in motion, allowing them to achieve their dreams and goals with ease. Whether it be some energising Vinyasa Flow Yoga or calming Yogic Sleep, we are certain its going to get you moving in an inspiring direction.
Hana Saotome
Hana began her Yoga practice during proffessional dance training. Teaching Yoga has been her full time career and passion for over 17 years. She is BWY Yoga Teacher Trainer and a senior Yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. She is also a busy Mum and has experienced first hand how Yoga can supported her through different stages in life. She strongly believes that Yoga is a practice that meets you where you are. She strives to create inclusive classes that are supportive and nourishing for all.

Aya Saotome
Aya's journey towards Yoga teaching also started as dancer, through dance Aya found a love and passion for teaching all kinds of people and bodies. She found great healing and nourishment through the mindful practices of Yoga and Pilates and decided this is something she would like to share.
Aya has now been working in the movement field for 16 years with a huge range of people, visually impaired clients, professional dance students, sports men and women, teenagers, fitness fanatics and many more. She is certified in Yoga, Pilates mat, prenatal Yoga, exercise and disability as well as level 4 PTTLS in adult education and has completed DEL Dance Education Laboratory, training for students with Special needs and anatomy courses. She ran Mindful Movements Bronx in NYC for 8 years and has now returned to Mindful Movements in Finsbury Park! |
